Rosaries and Other Beadwork

Mom is thinking about expanding her Accessory line at work to include Wedding Jewelry. That is one of the reasons she went to the Beadfest last weekend - the other reason is that she just likes beads. The expansion is just in the planning stages and Mom does not have any pictures of any jewelry - she is actually hoping to debut some pieces at Uncle Fritz' Wedding in October by making the jewelry for Aunt Michelle, herself and Andee.

Mom does have some pictures of the Rosaries she makes - and some she has collected. She has been making Rosaries for a few years now, she added them to her Accessory line about 3 years ago.

Mom calls this one her "Rescue Rosary'. It is made from milky quartz dog bone shaped beads and some type of brown kibble-shaped beads. The centerpiece is St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of animals. The San Damiano Crucifix is a crucufix all Franciscians cherish, so it is a natural to go with this Rosary.

This one is a 'Bride's Rosary'. It is made from glass faux pearls and a gold-colored with faux pearl inlay Crucifix. Mom sells this one alone and also attached to one of her Ring Bearer Pillows.

This is one of two Rosaries Mom made for herself, the other one is made of similar material and it is a Dolorosa Rosary (Our Lady of Sorrows). This is one made from marbled amethyst satellite beads and amethyst heart beads. The Crucifix and Centerpiece are pewter. Mom chose amethyst for her Rosaries because amethyst is one of her favorite gems/beads and it is her birthstone. her birthstone.

Those are soooo pretty! I love the dog bone one! She should make those into bracelets and neclaces with the St. Francis medals too! Mom keeps her St. Francis medal on her key chain.

Hi Everyone, Thank Woo for the comments on Mom's work. I like the Rescue Rosaries myself.
Holly, I like your idea about the bracelet & necklace. Is it OK if Mom uses your idea and try to sell them to help HTH?
Steve, Kat & Wilbur, no Mom did not make me a collar, but I think a black pearl one would go pretty good with my coloring.
Thanks guys

My mom just told me she didn't realize who your mom at the food booth either....my mom's quilt was displayed 2 spaces down from your mom's at the hike raffle. It was very pretty. I am still resting after yesterday's big event!

Hi Kelsey Ann, My Mom saw your Mom's quilt - she also put some tickets on it. She said it was pretty.
Mom likes doing these events. She likes to meet all the people she talks to on line.
