Magic's Bloodwork, A New Kid on the Block & A Webkinz

Magic went to the vet on Thursday to have her bloodwork done.

The doc called late Friday afternoon - everything IS normal !!!!!!!!!!!!
He said that the kidney function & liver function were all normal and no signs of diabetes. He said that she is just aging and that like people, her body is just adjusting. So more drinking and peeing are just normal signs of aging. He thinks she may actually be older than we think. So it seems like we may have a senior doggie in the house.
This means I can play with Her Fluffiness, Queen Fluffy Butt again. Mom and Dad were not letting us play as much in case Magic was seriously ill, but since she is fine, I can torture her again!
Seriously, I am very happy that my sister is not sick.

We have a new Husky kid on the block. He lives up the driveway from us. His name is Max, he is black and white and has one blue and one brown eye. It is funny how we met him - I didn't meet him but the Queen did! Anyway, Mommy was sitting here at her 'puter when we heard a puppy crying. So Mommy looked out the window and she saw a Husky puppy in one of our neighbor's yard. She was 'Awww, look at the Husky puppy' and that fast the puppy was out of the yard. So, Mommy being Mommy, ran out of the front door to see if she could get the puppy, but by the time she got out the door his owner was also out there.
Mommy took Her Fluffiness out in the yard - I don't do the yard, too many steps to get to it! Mommy went out in the yard to talk to Max's owner. He (Mom never asked Max's Daddy's name) brought Max from someone in Lancaster, Pa. and he was amazed at how quick Max got out of the yard. Mom told him that Max squeezed under the gate. Then Mom told him that us Huskies are escape artists and that he has to make sure the gate and fence on both sides are secure. That might be a little hard since Max's yard and both yards on either side are concrete.
Queen Fluffy Butt was being a meanie, she was barking at Max and scaring him. I haven't met him yet, but I am sure I will meet him on one of our walks.
Mommy got one of those Webkinz! Uncle Chuck brought it for her. Of course, she had to have the Husky one. She named the thing Maia, and it is a girl. She has it sitting next to her computer. A Webkinz is a stuffie that has a virtual world on the Internet. They are the 'in' thing right now. Mommy's Husky is cute but, Not as cute as Me.

Andee got two of them, a white Kitty which she named Marie and a Golden Retriever she named Kyo.

Of course, Mommy being the camera nut she is took several pictures of these things, but I am only going to post one or two here.
Notice the computer screen in the picture of the Husky Webkinz. It is Mommy's 'puter with her favorite character on it. The character is Emily from Tim Burton's movie Corpse Bride. We all think it is appropriate since Mommy is in the Wedding business. Mommy is always kidding around about using Emily as inspiration and start a Wedding line geared toward the Gothic. Personally, I don't think it would sell.

So glad to hear you are OK. There are definetely lots of perks to being a senior sibe.....you get special treatment and they let you get away with more. Glad your mom "educated" the newbies owners.

Whew! I'm so glad all is well! I know Abby, who is 12, has a tendency to drink more and pee a bit more than the rest of us.

I'm glad your mom talked to the new husky guy. I'm sure she gave him some good tips!

Hi Kelsy Ann, Thanks. I am so glad Magic is OK.
I still haven't met the new Husky on the block, but I do hear him.
This guy took Mommy seriously. Right after he got done talking to Mommy, he tied Max out and then set about fixing up the fence so he could not get out.

Hi Missy and MayaMarie,
Thanks.
I get to correct Georgie alot. She always wants to play and I don't always feel like playing. Sometimes even Mommy and Daddy correct her because she just doesn't want to give up.

Hi Holly,
Thanks.
We are also glad she is ok.
The newbie Husky owner was already listening to Mommy. He went right outside and was fixing his fence so Max cannot get out.

Hi Amici, Thanks.

Steve, Kat & Wilbur, Yep, we definitely had a lot of excitement around here. I still have not met up with the new Husky neighbor, but I'm working on it.

Hi Sitka & Tia, I still haven't officially met the new neighbor yet, we just can't seem to get together.
The new stuffies are really cute, but I wonder how many more Mommy needs?
