Magic's Vet Visit & New Stuffies

I went with Magic to the vet on Wednesday, she had to get her yearly rabies shot. Mommy asked the doctor about how much water Magic drinks, and how much she pees. The doctor told Mommy it could be something wrong with her kidneys or maybe she has diabetes. The doctor is going to run some blood work and a urine test to see what is wrong with her. Mommy has to take Magic back to the vet next week to have these tests done. We are keeping our paws crosed that it is nothing serious.

So, all you Huskies, puppies, doggies and people, Please say a prayer that Magic Girl's blood work will be normal.

While we were at the vet. Mommy also asked the doctor about my pee problem - I pee in the house everytime I am left alone. The doctor said I probably have something called Separation Anxiety. All that means is that I do not like to be alone and I get scared when left by myself, and when I am scared I pee. Mommy said when they got Magic, she used to have Separation Anxiety too, but Magic used to chew holes in the blinds. I am not that bad. So Mommy is going to try to see what she can do to make me feel more secure, especially when she is not here.

Mommy brought me some new stuffies!!
She brought them for me! Not for herself, but for me. I got a little brown bunny, a little brown dog, and a funny-looking spotted thingy that looks like a cross between a giraffe and a platypus. She got me the bunny because I like Magic's chipmunk, it looks real. The chipmunk and my bunny are AKC toys Magic wanted to play with them but she got too protective of them so Mommy took them away for a few hours and when she gave them back, Magic did not want it anymore. So they are all mine!!

I will sure say some prayers! Hopefully it's something easy like a UTI! I will keep my paws crossed.

Have your mom order the book called "The dog who loved too much" its written by a doggie doctor and it's all about separation anxiety. My human read it when Samuel was young and he had that problem. It really taught her a lot, and it fixed Samuel right up!

Good luck!

Hi Kelsy Ann, Thank Woo for the rossed paws.
The stuffies are pretty cool! Thay are also squeakies! The Giraffe looking one has a funny squeakie sounds - sort of like a long duck sound.

Holly, Thanks for the prayers. I will tell Mommy to get the book. I know if I keep peeing on the floor they are going to put me back in my crate to sleep. I don't want to do that, I like running around when they are sleeping - there is a lot of reaaly cool things to check out.

Hi Steve, Kat & Wilbur, Thanks for the well wishes. She doesn't go back to get her tests until late next week, so we have a little while to wait.

Hi Amici, Thans for the well wishes. The new toys are definitely a good place to start. I love 'em! Mom had been spending some extra play time with me. She is hoping that will help.

Girls,
We like stuffies too. We drag them around for a while, and play with them. If they have a squeaky in them, eventually we have to rip the stuffing out of them to get to the squeaky. It's probably not a nice thing to do, but it sure is fun!

Hi Rusty and Smokey, Thanks for the well wishes.
We drive Mommy nuts with our stuffies - at least I do. I drag them all over the place and leave them there. Mommy says I am worse than a kid, but I think it is fun. Magic tore one of hers apart. She had the stuffing all over the floor. Mommy restuffed it and sewed it back together.

Awww, we will keep our paws crossed that Magic's tests are normal!

Hey, ask your mom to put one of her old t shirts that smells like her in your crate when you leave. When my daddy goes out of town he does that, and I love to sleep on his t shirts cause they smell like him, and then I'm not so sad that he's gone.

Hi Indy, Thanks for the well wishes and crossed paws for Magic. She goes to see the vet in a few days to get her bloodwork done. I will keep everyone posted.
I will tell my Mommy about the t-shirt idea. I have been doing better.
