Paws For The Cause Event

Harnessed to Hope was at Fox Chase Cancer Center's Paws For The Cause Dog Walk yesterday. Mommy and Daddy let us go too! Can you believe it? We did not have to stay home!

The event was to raise money for cancer research. Cancer is a really, really UGLY disease that strikes both humans and canines. I have lost both my human Pop-Pops to this ugly disease, and we have a few human cancer survivors in our family. So for our family this is a very important event.

We met a lot of old and new friends - both human and canine.

I think this doggies name was Trotter.

I don't remember this doggies name, but we had a good time playing.

I was giving Andee kisses.

I didn't catch this doggies name, but we think she is a cutie, and she listens very well. Her Mommy only told her once to sit and she did it immediately!

Hi Steve, Kat & Wilbur, Yes, I had a good time. Mommy let me wear my bandana for the rest of the day so I could show my human cousins.

What an honorable event to attend. We don't know of any dogs (personally) that have been dx with cancer but one of my Mom's good friends lost her mother this past Jan. Her Mom was dx on Christmas 2006 and passed away at the end of Jan. 2007. It is a horrible disease (for animals and people) and we're glad people are out there spreading the word and raising money to help find a cure or at least a medicine to help prolong some of the horrible symptoms.

Hi Amici, Cancer is a horrible disease, but research has come a long way!
I do not know any dogs personally, but my Mommy had a German Shepherd when she was a kid who had skin cancer.

Hi Quincy & Tristin, Mommy has been real busy. Uncle Fritz (her brother) got married last Friday and also work is so busy! We have not had much computer time. We are hoping to get back to blogging soon as her work slows down a bit.
We'll be seeing you guys at the parade next weekend.
